What is the House Beer & Bourbon Built?
Brewery focused pubs and the Joliet Bourbon Club are collaborating with Will County Habitat for Humanity to make a lasting difference in our community. The House Beer and Bourbon Built is a fun and exciting series of events that brings the community together to build a home for a veteran and their family.
Why is it important?
A safe and stable home is vital for the success of a family. Homeownership allows families to save more, invest in education, live in healthier environments and have more financially stability. Supporting this project not only helps a family, it is an investment in our community.
What’s the timeline?
To begin May 2022 in Will County. The property at 2353 Black Rd, Joliet is to be constructed for a veteran.
Ground-Breaking Ceremony:Â May 2022
Home Dedication:Â A celebration of a family completing the process of homeownership and the passing of the keys to their new home. The dedication ceremony is held outside the home for about an hour and concludes with an open house including refreshments. Sponsors, volunteers and the community are all invited to be a part of this celebration.
